As people set out many years before you to explore the Earth and where the waters of life would take them, they knew they had to brace themselves for the unknown. All of you are no different than them exploring new land when it comes to exploring your inner person as you sometimes have to step into unknown territory within yourself. Any time you engage in many of your spiritual practices such as, meditation, or prayer you go into each one not expecting anything spectacular to occur. What you encounter is a feeling of deep peace, where all your busy thoughts are put to rest and your mind, body, heart and spirit is relaxed; your emotions are controlled and your perception is changed, even just for a few moments. It is the demands of your external life that commands attention and soon enough your focused demeanor is drawn to the many distractions that life brings.

During the time spent in meditation or prayer, quite often you don’t realize or recognize for that matter that you have the ability to experience life differently and to bring a different order and way of living into reality. Even if you read something in one of your books or if another dear soul shares with you about a new way of living or bringing a new order of being that they have begun you don’t see how you could adopt to such a way, or their new and bright way of living and being does not apply to you.

To get to the heart of the matter it is then necessary dear ones to penetrate the workings of your mind through investigation and exploration, bringing forth new experiences and varieties of perception. You may have an idea regarding the stillness that is between your thoughts, but often you downgrade that still-moment experience to just your mind being temporarily blank then consider it being a common and mundane occurrence that is uninteresting. It is wrong of you to think that when the mind goes blank that it is a common, yet boring happening for that moment of blank stillness, there is much more than an absence of thoughts going on: It is that moment dear ones that your doorway into the silver sea of consciousness opens up, inviting you to explore every part of its depths.

Have you learned what consciousness is? Does consciousness relate to the element of your awareness? Have you figured out yet, for you, what is beyond mere consciousness? Can you describe presence? Can you honestly answer; “Who am I?” Have you recognized your purpose or why you are here? There are so many questions you can ask yourself and each answer that you discover helps you to uncover many secrets of your being that were unknown to you until you took the courageous step to go within to learn, to explore, to discover and to become.

All of these important questions cannot truly be answered by common knowledge or by seeking science for your answers simply because the answers come from a realm and place that is beyond space and time, a realm that extends further beyond the grasp of common knowledge, science or even logic. When you are about to approach such tough questions, you must examine your inner Self, going deeply into the very core of your being. Becoming your own explorer of Self, you will venture into new worlds, you will find that there is a truth that exists within you and it is your truth. Being on the spiritual path, you are bound to become a spiritual explorer, seeking more of your truth, aiming to understand all the many opportunities these new inner worlds have in store for the development of you.

Did you know dear ones, that every time you meditate, or exercise contemplative prayer, or board on another incidence in presence, you are crossing the boundaries of your common, mundane experience. You are bringing yourself to the place where you can finally see beyond the safety blanket you normally live in. You begin taking small, experimental steps into the unknown, testing the new waters, and finding out what is truly there for you to experience. Regardless what philosophy or theology brought you to discovering your spiritual reality, they will be unable to help you see. True seeing of the inner worlds of your Self means you must go beyond all ideas and thoughts. There are no words that can teach you this as each of you will have your own unique way and experience that will be right for you, but no more better or worse than another person’s methods or ways.

We know you study many different ways and of the practices that comes with each new direction. You then take those practices that you have learned by going within to see what you can see. When you engage in inner work, there are numerous approaches you will come across. You will try many in order to discover which ones work the best and you keep what works the best that will push you further beyond restrictive boundaries enabling you to try variable inner actions and inner bearings. You will find yourself trying different intensities of focus, playing with relaxing and opening, sometimes repeatedly seeing where each one takes you, noting the differences even if they are subtle.

When you extend in breath, you extend in depth, and you go further beyond normal time and body space your duration, frequency and extensiveness of presence becomes more. You are able to easily recognize the areas you did not know existed before. You might find yourself questioning your many assumptions in regards what you once thought was impossible. You expand yourself beyond normal time into the timeless, moving yourself beyond normal form into the formless. If you are unsure how, then you experiment to learn how. Your inner being dear ones becomes your working laboratory, one that is fully functional and equipped with all you need and is ready to begin. You will come to results and take note of any conditions you come across. You will see how the daily distinctions in your current life style does affect your inner person. It is up to you dear ones to create your spiritual intelligence and to control the direction of your path on this marvelous journey you have embarked upon.

Wonderful worlds do await you; worlds and places that have meaning and purpose just for you. They will bring you so much joy that is beyond normal human understanding. Commend yourself for your normal efforts to bring yourself to sit in meditation daily and for longer times on other days. Those efforts dear ones are essential, but what is more important is you pushing yourself beyond the normal, common ways and to explore what is beyond the mundane.
