Six Words: A Return to the Basics … and Calmness – Part 1/2 - January 4, 2026

I’m posting this article today to include Sunday readers.

Now that the fraud front has fallen silent, the financial world having done what it does once alerted, I’m recovering.

Or, if you hear it better this way, basics

And I did what I usually do (because burnout is an occupational hazard with me, it seems) and that is to return to the basics to remind myself and recover.

Michael once called these events “resets.” The computer is swept clean of one or more bugs.  (1)

Here are examples of returning to the basics” in an article:

  • “On the Nature of the Divine Mother.”
  • “Christianity and Hinduism are One.”
  • “Muslims did not Cause 9/11. We Did.” (2)

All of them involved a return to … the basics.

The multiverse is limitless. I won’t run out of basics.

This time what I did – as usual, while in the shower – was see how many words I’d need to cover what is basic to my life. I needed six.

  • Divine Mother
  • Archangel Michael
  • love
  • service

Basics

That’s it.

Of course our partner, our parents, etc. But I mean cosmically basic.

And look at this now. In an instant, I’m restored to calmness. It returns palpably. I feel calmer than I ever have. Just like that.

(I just got Michael’s agreement via a signal that we have.)

Or is this peace? When I said “peace,” the calmness increased.  I’m hearing, “the truth will set you free.” I guess this is an example of that.

***

So calmness has returned and I got a lesson from it which may be applicable to some and not to others.

To me it was profound.   A bit of background.

As a former Member of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada and a refugee adjudicator, I sat, like a judge, and listened to refugee claims.

Most were economic migrants and most were never deported. The refugee process in Canada at the time was a no-lose process for anyone who wanted to improve their economic situation.

Basics

But the stress…. I can’t even repeat to you some of the stories I heard, from people who struggled to tell their stories.

Like the woman whose curtain of hair shook uncontrollably as she spoke and whose voice went up and down, again uncontrollably, as she pushed through describing her ill treatment.

Or the man who went back to his Rwandan village to find his family and … his voice trailed off when he described what he saw and he went into shock. And so did I, in my office later, secondary traumatization.

No one fakes that or play-acts it well. You knew when you were hearing the truth.

(Concluded in Part 2, tomorrow.)

Footnotes

(1) The whole quote is so fascinatingly revealing of the way the Company of Heaven works that I give it at length:

Steve: [Emptiness of mind] was followed next by what appeared to be the kundalini completing its circuit at the seventh chakra. Is that in fact what happened?

AAM: Yes. Now it is part of the reset button. [My emphasis.]

Think of it in this way. If you are installing, say, a new program, or you had an old program that kept stalling out three quarters of the way full and you were frustrated as all get out with it. And you are asking for the fullness of the program to come online so you turn off your computer and you restart it.

That is what you did.

Steve: Interesting! Ordinarily you would experience Brahmajnana [God Realization] at that point but I felt that it had been muted, toned down.

AAM: When you use the term “dramatic enlightenment experiences” [as I did earlier],  you are talking about Nirvana. You are talking about the unity of all with One.

It is not to say that you will not experience that, but you cannot (well, you can if you wish; it is a choice to) simply remain in that state of unity, of One, or be fully conscious, [and be] in service, in action….

So, it is a toning down, if anything. It really is the middle ground. …

You know that enlightenment is right there in front of you. It is yours to access. But if you are in service, you will not choose to live there. …

You can think of it as keeping two feet firmly on the ground.  (Archangel Michael in a personal reading with Steve Beckow through Linda Dillon, Feb. 14, 2012.)

In another reading, Michael said visit the higher reqalms. Don’t stay.
