You have been served the world on a golden platter.
You have been given everything, denied nothing. But that is not how you see it.
You may see that you were deprived in childhood, and now you deprive yourself still with the repeated tale of it. Begone the past.
Each day everyone starts equal. Never mind the perceived inequities. They are barriers you make. The same day is given to you that is given to anyone else. The question is not what is proffered to you. The question is what you look at, and what will you accept.
Do not pass up the life before you today, holding out for something else, waiting for or demanding something else, and meanwhile not availing yourself of the present. What transpires transpires, and it is not for you to be satisfied or dissatisfied with what comes, but rather to move on from it. What comes, comes, and it is for you to get on with.
Do you stamp your foot at life? Do you swat at it? Do you pout? Do you treat it as a bill you refuse to open? Do you bury it? Do you ignore it? Do you shrug your shoulders at it? Do you make it a joke? Do you dilly-dally it away? Do you meander through it? Do you take it by the collar and shake it? Do you walk through it? Do you engage in it? Do you make friends with it? Do you laugh and cry at it? Do you stick by it? Do you light some corners? Do you abandon it? Do you forget about it? Do you embrace it right and left? Do you jump rope over it? Do you scamper through it? Do you delve? Does life affront you? Does it make little or much of you? Does it dismay you? Does it uplift you? Does it condition you? Does it rule you? Do you depart from it? Do you make your own way in life, or the way of another? Do you mock life? Do you disdain it? Do you pander to it? Do you bat it back and forth? Do you battle it? Do you avoid it? Do you scramble it? Do you greet it? Do you pat it on the shoulder and say hello? Do you order it around? Do you confuse it? Do you untangle it? Do you think too much about it? Do you partake of it? What do you do with life?
You have considered much how life treats you. Now consider how you treat life.
Life and you walk side by side, and sometimes you both wear different guises at different times. But it is life and it is you, side by side. You don't go anywhere without it.
And then there is I, and I accompany you as well, silent. Sometimes it seems that you mix Me up with life. You certainly hold Me accountable for it. But life is your walk too. I cannot walk it for you. I cannot pick up every bramble before you. Not even every tree trunk that falls. For you are learning to walk in life.
But know this: Whatever befalls you in life, you do not fall. Whatever you may think, that is an impossibility. You can stumble. You can trip. But you cannot fall. There is no place to fall to except My arms, and that is no fall at all. That is an ascent.
My children are bewildered in this world. They make too much of it at the same time they make too little of it, or make too much of some things and not enough of others. Make more of yourself and more of Me. With every step in life, rise to Me. I hold out My hand.
